- Programming Languages: Paradigm and Practice, 2nd ed.
- Co-authors Doris Appleby and Julius J. VandeKopple, published by
McGraw-Hill in 1997. This is a text for
a Computer Science course in Programming Languages. Further information about

- New York University SETL Project
- SETL (SET Language) is a very high level programming language
based on the Mathematical notation of sets. At NYU, I have worked on and
maintain a SETL-S (SETL Subset) compiler, which includes a large part of
the full language. The
compiler and documentation
are available via anonymous ftp from NYU.
- Catgut Acoustical Society
- The Catgut Acoustical Society is an international society founded
by Carleen Hutchins, a physicist, who has done pioneering work on acoustics,
particularly that of the violin family. I currently serve as Vice President
of the CAS.
