Overview: This course covers extensively the foundations of database systems, with an introduction of related system topics. Topics to be covers include:

• Introduction to Database Systems
• Conceptual Database Design
• Logical Database Design
• Relational Algebra and Calculus
• SQL DDL and DML
• Storage and Indexing
• Query Evaluation
• Transaction Management
